Privacy
Data controller: Ghost & Beers. Contact: ghost-beers@outlook.es.
What data we collect
When you write to us through the contact channel we store your alias, your email (if you give it), the type of message, the text, the date and an anonymous fingerprint of your connection (we do not store your IP address in plain form).
What for
To read your message, reply to you and, if we approve it, publish it on the website together with our reply. Your email is never published. The connection fingerprint is only used to stop spam and, if someone sends illegal content, to be able to report it to the authorities.
Stories and votes
On each case file you can tell what you experienced at the place ("Have you been there?"): we store your alias, when you went (if you say), the text, the date and the same anonymous connection fingerprint, and it is only published if we approve it. If you vote "Explainable or unexplainable?", we store your vote with an anonymous fingerprint (not your IP) so that each person votes only once; who voted is never published, only the totals.
Place suggestions
If you suggest a place to investigate we store the place, the area, what you tell us, your alias, the date and the anonymous connection fingerprint; it is only published if we approve it. "I want you to go" votes are stored with an anonymous fingerprint (not your IP) so that each person votes once; who voted is never published.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter we store your email, language and the date. You are only subscribed once you confirm from the email we send you, and we only use it to send you new case files. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Emails are sent through Resend.
Artificial intelligence
To draft replies and translate the website's texts, content (never your email) may be sent to Google's Gemini service. We review every reply before publishing it.
Language
We store a small cookie in your browser with the language you chose (Spanish, Catalan or English), only to show you the website in that language.
How long
Published messages are kept for as long as the website exists. Unpublished ones are kept for as long as needed to handle them and, in the case of allegedly illegal content, for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data by writing to ghost-beers@outlook.es. You can also file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
